If you’re like me, how your OS look is as important as how it performs. I just finished my migration from Ubuntu 11.04 to Fedora 15. The main reason was to have access to gnome3 instead of Unity. My biggest concerns, is that fact that they rely on a general menu, like OSX and i always found that very stupid, but it’s maybe just my way of thoughts, but for me it’s the reason i went for Gnome3.

On Ubuntu, i was using the Faenza icons ( http://tiheum.deviantart.com/#/d2v6x24 ) that i find simply amazing. On Fedora i can’t use a PPA like on Ubuntu, so i had to find a way to get a newer version of these icons, because the available RPM on the package manager is a bit old, and i like to have the latest version available. So i found how to do it, and i’m posting it here. It’s the way i did it with Fedora Core 15, Gnome3 and the gnome-shell activated.
